Art Classes

February 20, 2007

Hi everyone,

It does not seem possible that the second month of the year
is here! I hope the year has had a good start for you all.

Some of our students have had their first taste of exams
and others have started a new semester. I wish all our
students the very best and hope that any reports they have,
they study the comments closely. The teacher writes these
comments to guide the student toward greater achievement.

We have up-dated our website www.centrallearningcentre.com
and as you will see we are offering On-line and
Home-tutoring. If you know of anyone who could make use of
our services perhaps you would pass on this website for
their perusal.

We are adding Art classes to our curriculum. Are there any
children in your family, or do you know of a student whose
favorite subject is Art? Do they ever complain that they
don't have enough art classes at school? How many of them
wish they could take part in more art related activities?
Central Learning Centre is offering Art classes on Friday
after school and on Saturday afternoons.

FUN FRIDAYS IN ART / SENSATIONAL SATURDAYS
Central Learning Centre introduces Art Classes for
children, aged 7 - 13

Children will explore the fundamentals of art and design
through creative projects in painting, drawing,
printmaking, collage, clay and papier-mâché. Each child's'
individual creativity and self-expression will be
encouraged. Groups will be no larger than 8 students and
children will experience the joy of creating Art in a
friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Classes will be taught by Tricia Evelyn, an Honors graduate
of the Ontario College of Art and Design. For many years,
she owned a design business in the Caribbean and the
products that she designed are to be found around the
world. She taught art for several enjoyable years in
Jamaica to children ranging in age from Kindergarten to
Grade 6 and developed an Afternoon Art class in conjunction
with an Art Gallery. Tricia has taken part in several
international festivals for Artisans over the years and has
had solo exhibitions of her work. She is an avid
photographer and water color artist.

Classes will run for 10 weeks, beginning the week of March
19, 2007
Fees are $15.00 per 1 1/2 hr class, and include art
supplies.

Trisha’s website can be viewed at:
