April 1, 2008

Hi everyone

How are you?

It seems a long time ago since March Break and then there
was the Easter long weekend, which seems to have taken care
of the month of March!! Now there is nothing happening
until the summer!!! What a long wait! The only thing that
is helping us along is the sun which is finally shining and
the snow has vanished!

Plans are being made for all sorts of exciting things this
summer. Camps and flights are being booked and decisions
made as to the best way to utilize that long summer
holiday. Parents (if you have not done so already) are
trying to decide what would be the best plan for their
child/children. Like you, CLC is thinking of the summer and
the best way we can help our students keep those skills at
the finger tips!

As you know our program in the summer is flexible to
accommodate time away from home. Some of our students are
going into grade 7 or 9 in September so we will be
implementing a self mentoring program which aims at
brushing up on the skills needed for the new school.
Requests have been made for note taking practice,
organizing their time and their work, writing skills, and a
math roundup which would involve reviewing all topics the
child should have covered up to that grade (6 or 8).

Our tutoring/ remedial services will continue on a part
time basis for students of kindergarten through university
who are experiencing difficulty with any of their subjects
or who want to start the new school year in September on a
sound footing.

Our summer program will run from Monday 7th July until
Friday 15th August, 9 am -2 pm. and Monday August 18th
until Friday August 29th 9 am – 3pm.

We will be sending out application forms nearer the time.

Please feel free to email me with any suggestions you might
have to improve our services.

Best regards

Christine
